Liaison International sponsors Champlain College students

Watertown, MA – Liaison is pleased to sponsor a team of students from Champlain College who will speak at the Images & Voices of Hope World Summit (9/23–26) on “Inspiring Media in an Open Source World.” This student team, who are majors in emergent media, will present the game they have designed for the UN to help prevent violence against women. The game has been designed to provide alternatives for youth to violent behavior against women: see http://www.breakawaygame.com

Sponsors “Stated simply, my words cannot express how thankful and excited we are about being part of this inspiring summit! We are looking forward to sharing and learning from the other “media makers” assembled. Likewise we hope they can add to the conversation about the global BREAKAWAY project we are working on. I do hope we can meet so we can express our gratitude in person. “ Ann DeMarle, director of the Emergent Media Center at Champlain College.

Liaison President and CEO George Haddad indicates, “We at Liaison have been a proponent of diversity and social awareness through our practices. We are pleased to support a model project that combines technology with such an important social issue as Violence against Women.”

Images & Voices of Hope is a global dialogue dedicated to strengthening the role of media as agents of world benefit.
