Watertown, MA. October 2, 2007 — Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar (WCMC-Q) launched today their on-line Pre-Medical and Medical applications making their admission process easier and more accessible for potential applicants.
The admission staff at WCMC-Q was looking for an on-line admission application that can meet the needs of both WCMC-Q Pre-Medical and Medical application processes. After an extensive search, WCMC-Q selected Liaison International as their technology provider capitalizing on Liaison's experience, knowledge and proven technology platform that supports the majority of the U.S. Health Professions Centralized Application Services (CAS).
By integrating the applicant portal seamlessly with the admissions and letter of recommendations portals, faculty and staff will be able to view and manage their own applicant pools throughout the entire admissions process. Announcing the web-based system, Dr. Maya Hammoud, Associate Dean of Admissions and Student Affairs at WCMC-Q, commented. "We are now offering an easy-to-use process for the applicants and letter writers, while providing sophisticated tools to the admissions staff that help us focus on providing personalized service to applicants."
George Haddad, President and CEO of Liaison International, indicated, "The dedication and knowledge of WCMC-Q Admissions staff were instrumental in getting two comprehensive on-line admission applications completed in unprecedented timeline with all the necessary customization to fit WCMC-Q admission workflow. We are excited to work with Dr. Hammoud and her staff at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar and see our product benefiting applicants to both the Pre-Medical and the Medical Programs."
The integral management portal of each application will provide the admissions staff with state-of-the-art tools that alleviate the routine daily tasks and help them focus on providing personalized service to applicants. Such tools will guide WCMC-Q to understand the applicant behavior, predict the future admission trends, and better target a qualified cadre of prospective applicants and their feeder schools.
