Software Support Specialist

Position Description
Liaison International, a stable and fast growing company that specializes in providing state-of-the-art information technology products and services to educational associations, accrediting agencies, institutions of higher education and health professions, is seeking candidates with skills and experience in software support for Web-based applications to join our talented team. They would be working on multiple projects in a variety of roles, which include directly interacting with clients, gathering their requirements, technical support and coordinating tasks with the development team. This is not an entry-level position. Ideal candidates should demonstrate a high level of experience in working with team-based projects and the ability to multi-task.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an IT-related discipline or equivalent
  • 3+ years of solid software support, preferably for Web-based applications.
  • Understanding of programming practices.
  • Conceptual understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Experience in communicating the specifics of technical issues to development staff and end-users.
  • Knowledge of SQL and prior experience with various programming languages a plus.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to do the following:
  • Organize and prioritize simultaneous demands.
  • Conceptualize and think creatively.
  • Use patience, persuasiveness and analytical skills while working toward a resolution with clients and technical staff especially under stressful conditions.
  • Be able to work in a high profile and fast-paced environment.
