Quality Assurance Manager

Position Description
Liaison International, a stable and fast growing company that specializes in providing state-of-the-art information technology products and services to educational associations, accrediting agencies, institutions of higher education and health professions, is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Manager. Qualified candidates should possess proven skills and experience in the areas of Software Quality Assurance of Web Applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Superior teamwork / interpersonal skills are essential
  • Proven Q.A. and SDLC track record
  • 2-3 years of management experience (preferably in the Q.A. arena)
  • Experience with white/black box and performance testing of real-time systems
  • Experience with unit test frameworks and GUI testing toolkits
  • Perl and SQL Server experience preferred
  • +5 years of experience in product testing, development, or research
  • Self-starter who requires minimum supervision, highly motivated and can manage/lead the QA team with confidence
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to do the following:
  • Manage teams of analysts assigned to quality assurance and product testing projects. Performs testing and leadership tasks on all projects.
  • Plan and implement automated testing.
  • Research and implement improved testing methods, processes, tools, and test systems.
  • Ensure that products meet total quality management and/or other reliability standards
  • Build infrastructure and provide training to help testers better diagnose and distinguish between test environment issues, test data issues, and functional defects.
  • Lead QA Workshops designed to train and cross-train testers.
  • Write, review and implement test plans and test cases
  • Work with clients and be involved in user documentation and training
  • Perform testing tasks requiring planning, scheduling, and testing to assure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards
  • Communicate with product developers and technical support specialists on product issues
  • Prepare and execute test plans and test cases
