Quality Assurance Engineer
Position Description
Liaison International, a stable and fast growing company that specializes in providing state-of-the-art information technology products and services to educational associations, accrediting agencies, institutions of higher education and health professions, is seeking a candidate with expert skills and experience in the areas of Software Quality Assurance of Web Applications. This is not an entry-level position. Candidates should demonstrate a high level of experience with complex and multi-person projects. This position requires a solid understanding of relational databases and SQL queries. Good teamwork/interpersonal skills are essential.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. in a related field is preferable
- 3 years of solid quality assurance experience for Web-based applications
- Experience in working with software specifications and documentation
- Excellent analytical, debugging, planning and organizational skills
- Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Well-versed in software QA best practices, processes, and tools
- Experience in developing dynamic websites using Perl, ASP, JavaScript with SQL server backend is a plus
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to do the following:
- Document tests and report results with verbal and written communication skills
- Take a lead role in the development and execution of test plans and procedure
- Understand and translate functional requirements/specifications into working test plan and/or test cases as required
